1. Time is running out for Environment Hubs Aotearoa
Your support today will ensure that Environment Hubs Aotearoa can continue to lead the charge in building sustainable, resilient communities across New Zealand. With immediate funding, we can continue our efforts to restore nature, combat climate change, and equip future generations with the tools they need to thrive.
Despite the urgency of the climate crisis, the government has reduced support for environmental initiatives. The termination of the long-term Community Environment Fund means the loss of crucial operational funding and the threat of immediate cuts to all Environment Hubs Aotearoa programmes.

2. Cuts to our funding will hurt communities
Our hubs are building a future where communities are equipped to face environmental challenges, where our children live in harmony with nature, and where sustainable living is the norm. Without immediate funding, our programmes and our ability to support communities will be cut.
Environment Hubs Aotearoa has built knowledge, networks and connections throughout Aotearoa. Environment Hubs Aotearoa (EHA) unites an impactful network of 21 independent sustainable trusts and environmental centres.
Our grassroots "hubs"—spanning 88% of New Zealand’s regions, from Kaitaia to Riverton.
Collectively, we have 318 staff and over 23,000 volunteers passionately engaged in 350+ projects and programmes across climate action, nature restoration and community resilience.
This essential work has also included ensuring access to food, healthy homes and supporting communities during disasters such as Cyclone Gabrielle.
